実は急に容量が増えたので、なんでだろうと思って Dropbox の公式 Blog を見に行ったら書いてあったっていう (あとで気がついたんですけど、メールでの案内も今日の朝届いてた)。

Dropbox は紹介プログラムとして、既存のユーザーが新規ユーザーを紹介してその人が Dropbox を使い始めると、紹介した人、された人、両方にボーナス容量を追加してくれるっていう仕組みを持ってるんですが、今までそのボーナス容量は 250MB でした。それが今回、倍の 500MB に増量されたということ。つまり、紹介した人も、された人も、500MB 容量が追加されるってことですね。さらに、有料の Pro アカウントも持っているユーザーが紹介した場合は紹介ボーナスが通常の倍だったのですが、これも 1GB （今までは 500MBだった） に増えました。

さらにうれしいのは、過去に紹介した分も、この新しいルールに則って再計算してやるよという太っ腹なお達し。私は 50GB の Pro アカウントを使っているのですが、確かに過去に紹介した分が再計算されて、トータル容量が 75GB まで増えてました。
ちなみに、紹介で増やせる容量の最大は、フリーアカウントで +16GB まで。Pro アカウントで +32GB までです。つまり 32人まで最大で紹介できるってことですね。
